Flake Overview
Flakes can be added to any Shimrin® Universal Base, Kandy, Clear, or Kustom Base. House of Kolor® (H.O.K.) flakes are available in four different grain sizes and are manufactured from ultra‑thin polyester, making them some of the lightest and easiest flakes to apply.
The Mini and Ultra Mini flakes deliver the brilliance of much larger flakes while maintaining excellent sprayability and reduced surface texture—offering the perfect balance between visual impact and ease of use.

F – 1/64″ Flake
The largest and most aggressive flake size.
- Maximum sparkle and visual impact
- Most difficult to spray evenly
- Requires additional clear coats to smooth the surface

MF – Mini Flake
A popular balance of size and usability.
- Builds coverage quickly
- Significantly reduces surface roughness
- Easier to bury under clear compared to full flake

UMF – Ultra Mini Flake (Available in two sizes)
Designed for ease of application and smooth finishes.
- Sprays easily through standard guns
- Lays down smoothly
- Levels out quickly with topcoats
- Ideal for subtle sparkle or layered effects
